every now and then i refocus on photography to capture something with great meaning to me.

while i was away at binghamton for my first year, something i found myself missing quite a lot was the railroad. it's always been something i've grown up around after living in harrison for a substantial part of my life. it never occurred to me how useful and convenient the system really is, so of course, i wanted to learn more.

i dug really deep into railroad architecture, track maps, rolling stock, and so much more, even going so far as to getting into rail simulation to get a better experience for how the rails work. this line of thinking always comes naturally to me, being an engineering major, but i found a deeper heartfelt connection when i went to observe these places in person; the railroad is truly stunning from an artistic point of view, so i picked my camera up again to capture it.
